Crews fight apartment fire in Chickasaw neighborhood

LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - Fire crews battled an apartment building fire in the Chickasaw neighborhood on Sunday afternoon.
Metrosafe confirmed that the Louisville Metro Fire Department was called to the scene of a fire in the 3900 block of Garland Avenue at 12:23 p.m.
It took 25 firefighters 23 minutes to control the flames, the LMFD said.

The first floor of the apartment building incurred significant damage from the fire; moderate damage was done to the second floor.
There were no injuries, officials said.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
