LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) -The Louisville Metro Police Department is releasing body camera footage of two separate shootings involving officers, including the deadly shooting of Austin Schepers. Schepers is accused of shooting Orange County Deputy Zac Andry four times on Jan. 3 during a traffic stop on State Road 56 and U.S. 150.

Schepers’ car was later found in Orangeville, and the New Albany woman who police said was with him at the time of the shooting was charged. Victoria Howard was accused of using the ride-sharing app Lyft to give Schepers a ride from her apartment in New Albany to Craig Street in Louisville, not far from Wheeler Avenue where Schepers was shot and killed by officers on Jan. 4 after a two-day manhunt.

The officers – detectives Benjamin Derby, Jan Dykes, Robert Ross, and Joshua Trumbo – are all members of the Criminal Interdiction Division. They’ve been placed on administrative leave.

Previous Coverage

As of Jan. 9, Deputy Andry is still listed in critical but stable condition in intensive care at the University of Louisville Hospital. He remains sedated and is on a ventilator.

The other shooting involving Louisville officers happened the next day on Sunday, Jan. 5. Officers found a woman who had been seriously injured in a shooting on Cypress Street. She later died at the University of Louisville Hospital from her injuries. Joshua Miller was later arrested and charged with her murder.

The witness told police, that as they were going into the home on Cypress, she saw Miller shoot the woman several times before fleeing.

Later that day, Miller returned to the area where the shooting happened while officers were investigating. As officers approached Miller, he shot at them, and they returned fire after a foot pursuit. Miller was taken to the hospital and is expected to live. Officer William Stull, Officer Matthew Foust, and Officer Kyle Cosgrove have been placed on administrative leave.
